Margaret of Antioch, known in the Eastern Church as Marina the Great Martyr, was born around 289 AD in Antioch of Pisidia, daughter of a pagan priest, and was raised in the Christian faith by her foster mother after her own mother's death. She was martyred around 304 AD under the Roman governor Olybrius during the Diocletianic persecution, put to death at around fifteen years old.
