Saint Hermione of Ephesus, Patron Saint of Physicians and Healers
Hermione was one of four daughters of Philip the Evangelist, one of the seven deacons named in the Acts of the Apostles, and tradition holds she and her sisters were gifted with prophecy. She studied medicine and traveled to Ephesus, where she's credited with founding one of the earliest Christian hospitals. Under the emperors Trajan and later Hadrian, she was tortured for her faith, surviving beatings, wire piercing, and an attempted execution by boiling tar, before being beheaded in 117 AD after destroying pagan idols in a temple. She's venerated in both the Orthodox and Catholic traditions.
