Carlo Acutis, Patron Saint of the Internet

Carlo Acutis was born in London in 1991 and grew up in Milan, an ordinary teenager by almost every measure, playing video games, keeping a cat named Cleopatra, going to school with friends. He was also unusually serious about his faith for someone his age, attending Mass and Eucharistic adoration daily and telling friends the Eucharist was his highway to heaven. He taught himself to code and built a website cataloging Eucharistic miracles from around the world, traveling to photograph the evidence himself. The site is still online. He was diagnosed with leukemia in October 2006 and died three days later at 15, his last recorded words offering his suffering for the Pope and the Church. He was beatified in 2020 and canonized on April 27, 2025, the first millennial declared a saint by the Catholic Church.
